Description
This is a genuine DS21 Pallas finished in its original specification and presented in what is arguably the most attractive color combination available for the model: Palladium Gray with a contrasting Black roof. The car was imported into the United States in 1997.
With reliability as the highest priority, the ignition, charging, and fuel delivery systems have been comprehensively upgraded. Improvements include a high-output 70-amp alternator, 123 electronic ignition, Bosch ignition coil, and a Facet electric fuel pump. The car has been serviced annually and has proven exceptionally dependable throughout ownership.
Body
This is a rust-free example with outstanding paintwork finished in the original factory color scheme.
When acquired, the car displayed minor blemishes and scuffs on several panels consistent with an older repaint. A decision was made to refinish the entire vehicle, taking the opportunity to replace the primary roof seals at the same time.
The quality of the finish is exceptional, with excellent gloss and depth throughout and no visible orange peel. The glass is free of damage, all rubber seals remain supple, and the bumpers are free from dents. The intricate Pallas stainless-steel trim is equally impressive, giving this Citroën exceptional presence and curb appeal.
The chassis is in excellent condition and retains its factory-applied undercoating throughout.
Mechanical
It comes as no surprise that this DS is mechanically excellent and performs beautifully. The engine starts immediately, runs quietly, and exhibits no smoke or unusual noises. The transmission and clutch operate flawlessly, and the car drives exactly as it should, delivering the smooth, luxurious ride for which the DS is renowned.
The hydraulic systems function perfectly and show no signs of leakage. Under the hood, the engine compartment is well detailed with factory-correct finishes throughout. A new hood insulation pad has been installed, and the car is accompanied by a complete set of factory tools. New Michelin tires have also just been fitted.
Interior
The interior is another highlight of the car, featuring the desirable early-style dashboard in beautifully preserved original condition. The tobacco-colored leather upholstery displays an attractive patina consistent with careful preservation.
The carpets have been replaced with correct Pallas-specification material, and the interior door handles have been renewed. Front and rear inertia-reel seat belts are fitted for added convenience and safety.
The car is supplied with its original owner's manual. If needed, I can help with shipping
