Description
This 1961 Volkswagen Kombi T1 Van is a lovely example. The first generation was known as the T1 and is identifiable by its split windshield, affectionately called a “Splittie.” Originally from Brazil, this Kombi was imported by its original Brazilian owner. It’s powered by a 1,500 cc four-cylinder engine and a four-speed manual transmission.
The Kombi received an older restoration from the previous owner about 10 years ago. Today, it presents in very nice restored condition. It was repainted a lovely light cream, the interior was reupholstered, and it now sits on a nice set of replica Porsche wheels. With its pair of roof racks, the Kombi is sure to catch the eye.
It’s mechanically quite neat, with a very well-presented engine bay, a reconditioned steering box, and that lovely traditional Kombi sound. With plenty of seating, this Kombi is perfect for anyone who wants to go cruising in a classic with the whole family. It comes with a car cover and some restoration photos.
