Description
This 1951 Chevy has been outfitted with a Ls1 and 4l60e transmission from a 1998 Firebird. The drive train was placed in a s10 frame and then the 1951 truck body was mated to it. I also added an AC and heat system from old air products while hiding the hoses for a clean under hood look. Smothed and shinny painted the fire wall and the rest of the engine bay.
The interior was cleaned up and shinny painted to have a new truck feel while in the cabin. The carpet is new. The weather stripping is all new. The windows and rubbers are all new. New American Auto wiring harness from front to back. Gauges are new. Steering column is new as well. Classic style aftermarket steering wheel installed. Seat is from a 1968 camaro is black leather with plaid inlays and Same with the door panels
On the S10 frame I replaced all the brake system. Added a lowering kit that included tubular lower control arms that gave the truck a 5 front and 4 rear drop.
On the 1951 body we gave it a custom two tone patina paint job that is finished in matte clear coat. Replaced the grill and the bumpers. Set it on some all new 17 inch wheels and tires.
